November has been announcemageddon for CA, to be sure. With the Empire Divided Campaign Pack for ROME II plus our first Total War Saga title Thrones of Britannia both in the works, it would be easy to think we’re in some way sidelining WARHAMMER II, but nothing could be further from the truth.
The Mortal Empires hotfix comes out of beta today and will now be integrated into the full retail version of the game via Steam auto-update.
This hotfix chiefly addresses the severity and nature of the Chaos Invasion mechanic in the Mortal Empires campaign for WARHAMMER II. A handful of other fixes and changes are also included; please see below for full details.
Mortal Empires: Hotfix Beta
This beta hotfix addresses the severity and nature of the Chaos Invasion mechanic in the Mortal Empires campaign for WARHAMMER II. A handful of other fixes and changes are also included; please see below for full details. The main purpose of this beta however is to put the Chaos invasion changes we’ve been working on into a public test environment, so we’re releasing it as an opt-in beta while we continue to test the validity of the changes ourselves. Please be aware that this is very much an in-progress patch, and is therefore subject to change. As such, you may come across some issues.
The first update for Total War: WARHAMMER II hits via Steam auto-update on 26/10/2017 and contains a host of changes, tweaks, improvements and fixes. Mortal Empires, the new grand-scale campaign encompassing the landmasses of the Old World and the New World, will become available as the update goes live. Read the patch notes here.
Mortal Empires is a grand-scale downloadable campaign set across a massive new campaign map, free for owners of both Total War: WARHAMMER and Total War: WARHAMMER II. It enables players to embark on new campaigns as any playable Legendary Lord they own from both games and any owned DLC. For more of your questions answered, see our FAQ here.
