From Wednesday the 29th of August, there will be blood… in the form of the long-awaited Blood Pack for A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia!
Today the second version of the Allegiance beta is now available, which includes changes made as a result of feedback gained on the first beta as well as introducing other additions and changes to the game we have wanted to make.
As the first game in the Total War Saga series, Thrones of Britannia set out to both tread new ground and shake up an established format – but how did it do? We spoke with game director of Thrones of Britannia Jack Lusted about the design process, what worked and what didn’t, and the game’s future including a brand-new update patch.
This update will introduce a variety of changes to the game to address player feedback and improve the overall experience. The biggest change – and the one the update is named after – is the addition of Allegiance to the game.
It’s now been a few days since we deployed the first balance update for Thrones of Britannia.
Many of the changes were put in as a response to community feedback calling for campaigns to be a bit more challenging, and so we’re hoping that the systems should now give you challenge aplenty to get stuck into.
They are, however, best experienced within a new campaign. The further into an existing campaign you are, the more significantly the changes may throw your economy, food, and faction mechanics.
If you’re not ready to jump into a new campaign just yet, though, fear not – you do have a couple of options.
