May's Calendar Now Available!
Congratulations to Alexander Boros (aka GreatkingOfall) from Canada who has won this month's Create A Calendar Competition. May's winning wallpaper can be downloaded to your desktops here.

Alexander was kind enough to provide the following description on the winning artwork, which seamlessly incorporates Empire: Total War imagery with his own photos.

"The image is actually 4 pictures combined, one for the sea, and rocks, two for the sky and finally one for the ships, which is an Empire Total War Screenshot. The reason, why I put the ships so close to the side, was to try, and give the illusion that some of the ships are fighting against two enemies. The shore, and the other ships nearby. Some of the effects I used, were various layer blending modes, such as Multiply, or overlay and a few gradient fades for the ships. Lastly, I desaturated the image, and then added a Duotone to the picture. Basically, I told Photoshop to use just two colours. A shade of red, and blue."

June's Create A Calendar Competition is now underway, and you have until 31st May to get your entries in. Prizes this month include a signed piece of Empire: Total War artwork, a copy of Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms, plus Rome: Total War and Medieval II: Total War soundtracks!
