Empire: Total War Update
The Creative Assembly Completely Overhauls Battle A.I. With New Empire Update

SAN FRANCISCO (31th March, 2010) – SEGA® of America, Inc., is pleased to announce that “Update 1.6” for the award winning Empire: Total War will be available today. The update introduces a large number of revisions to the Artificial Intelligence in real time battles. Amongst many other improvements, the Battle A.I. now maintains its lines more rigorously, has better army movement and engages in melee more tactically. It is also better at protecting its own advance and engaging opponents with flanking attacks. This update will be automatically downloaded and installed when users log on to Steam™ with their copy of Empire: Total War.

Empire: Total War is set in the 18th century, a turbulent era that was the most requested by Total War’s loyal fan base, and a period alive with global conflict, revolutionary fervour and technological advances. With themes such as the Industrial Revolution, America’s struggle for independence, the race to control Eastern trade routes and the globalization of war on land and sea, Empire: Total War is the richest and most dynamic PC strategy game of all time. Empire: Total War was recently presented with a BAFTA Video Game Award in the “Strategy” category and is available in stores and on Steam now exclusively for PC.
